That means brushing and flossing on a regular basis at home and getting your teeth professionally cleaned and checked. We can also recommend different oral healthcare products that will help you maintain a healthy smile.
We are a family dental practice so we treat patients of all ages. Every patient has different circumstances so we will work with you to customise a maintenance program that best suits you and your family’s needs.
Accidents and emergencies happen and we know how stressful it can be, so we try to see emergencies as soon as possible so that we can relieve whatever pain and discomfort you may have and get you on the road to recovery.
This can range from the very simple white filling to a more complex ceramic crown. Whenever a tooth is damaged from decay, trauma or simply wear, it needs to be fixed to restore form and function. In most cases we can fix teeth with a chairside white filling that is strong enough to withstand daily chewing.
In some cases, there has been too much damage to the tooth and we will not be able to fix the tooth with a white filling. For these situations a custom ceramic crown made in a dental laboratory will be needed. These are the strongest restorations we can use to rebuild badly broken down teeth.
When a tooth can no longer be fixed and needs to be extracted, dental implants are your best option for replacing missing teeth. A titanium cylinder is implanted into the bone and will serve as a solid base to attach a ceramic crown. This is a more conservative way to replace a missing tooth compared to a traditional bridge, because we do not need to attach anything to the natural teeth on either side of the missing tooth.
We offer a wide range of cosmetic dentistry services to make your teeth look their best. Whitening teeth is a popular option to make the teeth several shades lighter. Whitening is done with custom fitted trays filled with a whitening gel that is worn for 30 minutes a day.
We can also re-contour teeth that are slightly chipped. But for really worn teeth ceramic crowns or veneers may be needed to restore the teeth shape.
When decay has gotten very deep or a traumatic accident has exposed the nerve of the tooth, then root canal treatment is needed. Once the nerve is exposed to the oral environment, bacteria can infect the nerve and cause pain and infection.
The only way to preserve the tooth is to remove the nerve and then clean and disinfect the nerve space. We use a special filling material to seal the nerve space and then we restore the tooth with a white filling. A tooth that has had root canal treatment is basically a hollowed out tooth, so we will recommend that a crown be placed to protect the tooth from fracturing.
We try to help you keep all your teeth, but there are instances where a tooth can not be saved and will need to be extracted. Wisdom teeth may need to be extracted because they can cause pain and infection.
More and more people are complaining about night time clenching and grinding of their teeth. To prevent damage to your teeth, muscles and joints we will recommend a nightguard. It is a custom made plastic appliance that is worn over the lower or upper teeth. By wearing it nightly, when you do grind your teeth you will wear down the appliance as opposed to your own teeth.

Payment is expected when services are rendered. We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Interac, cheques and cash. If you have dental insurance we can submit your claim electronically the same day and you will be reimbursed by your insurance usually within a week.
